The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application procedure.
Applications are now open and may close on fifteen December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to satisfy the subsequent requirements:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a home by using a combined gross household income that does not exceed R350 000 per annum.
• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined domestic revenue does not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and wish not submit any proof of income.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent people from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.
Applicants are reminded to supply the nsfas check correct Identity Doc numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored of their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are researching or plan to study at a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not click here to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
